Pro Med offers many educational opportunities.
Through a partnership with Baker College, Pro Med provides basic EMT and Paramedics courses and degree programs. Many of the EMTs and Paramedics trained at Baker College are now employees of Pro Med, as well as other ambulance services and fire departments. Baker College instructors are certified in both cardiac and trauma care and are experienced pre-hospital providers. Primary instructors are professional educators, all with multiple years of teaching background.
Initial education includes basic EMT and Paramedic level courses and the education department also offers courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Medical First Responder. Continuing education courses include First Aid. In addition, EMS CEU's are provided monthly, all with no cost to the employee.
EMT Basic:Pro Med, through a partnership with Baker College offers an annual Basic EMT Course. Course starts annually every September. Visit www.baker.edu for more details. The EMT Basic course is held over 20 weeks with approximately 300 hours of training in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical setting. Courses start every September and April.
Paramedic:Pro Med, through a partnership with Baker College offers an annual Basic EMT Course. Course starts annually every September. Visit www.baker.edu for more details. The Paramedic course is held over 16 months, with nearly 1300 hours, split between the classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings. Courses start every September and April.
Pro Med works to offer various programs for the community. We offer CPR courses and flu shot clinics for numerous institutions, and Camp 911. See the information below for additional information.
